Make sure there is no pressure on the system, remove gas cap. Most repair info says to take negative battery cable loose. The threaded end, use a couple of wrenches. The quick connect fitting, I have used a pair of needle nose pliars to take it loose. I believe the auto store sells a cheap tool to release the fitting. If you can use compressed air on the fittings before taking loose, just to blow off any dirt. The hump in the middle of plastic insert, needs to line-up with window in the fuel line, when going back together.
