Transmission problem
1997 Chevy Blazer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

As I'm going down the road in drive as I accerlerate the engine just revs up, but its in drive, does this mean the transmission is going bad?

Good chance check fluid level and color if black and bad smell then clutch slipaged has occured

Yes its black and has burnt smell to it.
