I have a 1996 chevy blazer, when i try to start it the lights and the radio will come on but it wont turn over is not fireing it makes no sound at all, i replaced the starter that wasnt it because its still doing the same thing, i was thinking it might be the ignition modular or the distributor, if its one of those could i do it myself and how would i go about doing that i cant really afford to pay a mechanic thank you so much for your help!!!!!

does it crank or just sit there and do nothing?

sound sto me like it aint cranking. if thats teh case try to jump the starter at the relay. does it start now? if not the starter may be bad.

if it does start check out for refrence at relay, if there is none then you should check the ignition switch, fuse, or neutral safety switch.

its not cranking over at all, we just put a brand new starter in it dnt think that was the problem because its still doing the same thing (nothing) lol!! so does it sound like maybe it could be the ignition modular which i know is under the distributor cap, or maybe the distributor its self, or maybe the ignition switch im confused it could be any one of those things so..... what do you think??? i appriciate your help!!!

wouldnt be the ignition module. due to that deals with spark not the vehicle cranking.

have you checked the starter relay? how bout the fuses? if those check out good suspect neutral safety switch or ignition switch and possible wire damage.
