My 1996 Blazer has recently started blowing a 10amp fuse that is located in the "guages" socket of the fuse block. This only happens if the vehicle is in four wheel drive. When this fuse blows during operation the guages quit fuctioning, The headlights go out, and you cannot put the vehicle back into two wheel drive untill you change the fuse. Any Suggestions?

Hi:
It sounds like there is a short between the switch and the 4x4 actuator. What I recommend is to look for damage to the wiring between the switch and transfer case. Check near the firewall of the truck.
