1995 Chevy Blazer V6 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 147000 miles

The other day I accidently hit the 4 hi button and when I tried to put it back to 2wd it wouldnt go. No lights come on and whenever I push the buttons the whole casing comes off. Now when I drive and make a sharp left or right turn there is an immense grinding noise and I have no idea what it is and I have no idea what drive the car is in whether is 2, 4hi or 4 lo..please help

You will of course have to fix or replace the switch, the grinding may be a lack of Posi-trac additive, to keep the clutch plates from chattering on turns! change the oil, 90 wieght gear oil, and use the additive!
