Noises problem
1992 Chevy Blazer 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

the noise started when I was going bout thirty, then I hit the breaks hard and came to a stop. When I reved the motor there was a clinking noise that sounded like it was under the hood. It went away very quick so I ignored it. What could be breaking now.

Noises are very difficult to diagnose from cyberspace. You state it made a clicking noise and then it stopped, was the clicking related to engine RPM or was it speed related or neither. Has it come back? Can you tell where it emanates from?

The noise happened everytime I had to come to a full stop quickly. And I did sound like it is comming from the motor. And when I reved it up higher or started moving it would stop. Could a oil pump on the fritz cause it.

Could be an oil related issue, does it have enough oil in it? Is it full of oil? Have you changed it recently?
