Just recently replaced my fuel pump, after installing, my fuel gauge is not correct, shows correct reading, then will go down to around 1/4 tank and eventually go back to being right again...prior to fuel pump installation gauge worked perfect...any ideas?

possible but not likely since it was working fine before pump replacement, could be bad unit though if fuel pump failed the unit probably wasn't far behind unless you replace the entire unit and pump..?
