1987 Chevy Blazer 700r sliping in 2-3, 3-4

Transmission problem
1987 Chevy Blazer V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 167, k miles

well I was tired of putting in used trannys could not buy new one so wanted to learn to overhaul would work took my time and tried to learn thats how I learn most of my stuff so overhauled with master rebuild kit gaskets rings and new cluth plates and steel plates didn't see any ovious problems in side except band hade rivet ground down on 2-4 band drum left some damage sanded down some and put back together felt really good about my job put tranny back in with new torque converter band and pump then went to test drive new fluid shifts 1-2 decent 2-3 slips but shifts doesn't want to 3-4 but does with a slip if let up on throttle will drive withacceleration but once add acceleration starts to slip looked at gov. Sorta sticky put other from another tranny little better got late stopped did some reading think should have did valve body and can this make this happen tranny did this worst be for rebuild 1-2 good now. I know let the pro's do it I am in remodeling and understand you cant do everything your self but 40 yrs old having 5th child in may oops but getting son to raise any way can tell desprit to learn maybe not all trannys but good at one would love to do spent so much time trying to do this to go spend money dont have and have some one else figure out at shop heart breaking would feel like wasted time have learnded alot about how what and why think I missed something or not enough I am a do it your selfer have always been any ideals what to or were to start would be great have another tranny I bought supsose to be ferrelly fresh to "rebuildt" put in truck had friend over helping scared pump seal put in truck leak out front I know seal I also hooked tranny to motor but not to torpue conv. Probably ovaled gasket but wanted to try rebuild for some time so instead of new pump and gasket I went for rebuild you know "go for it if confident" still have some. But need to figure this out if all fails put pump in other and probable no leak! But to me thats just bow-in- out and thats not like me so please help with some advise thank you and have a great day

A valve body problem is what I would have thought.

Were the problems the same before and is this the same tranny that was in it?

Is the is s10 with a 4.3?

What transmission is this?

You did not replace any valve bodies correct?
