1959 Chevy Bel Air 1957 Bel Air Temperature

I have a 1957 Bel Air with a V8. Can you tell me what is the maximum temperature on these engine should be running?

Max temp should never exceed approx 190 degrees depending on your location and application, ie; towing another vehicle in really hot weather etc. In severe conditions such as this 195 or even 200 are operable but not really a good idea for longer periods. If you pass 200 give it a rest. Remember, water boils at 212 and it gets pretty steamy at 200.
