Hi there,

My 93' Astro van,4.3 liter. has 130,000 miles well taken care of, has suddenly started to die while I am driving, wont start after it dies, and after a long while...it will start.

It cranks over just fine, I replaced the Alternator last month, has run fine since....
I did try replacing the fuel filter.
i am just at my wits end...have NEVER had a problem with this vehicle before...but dont have a lot of money to spend on replacing things that dont need to be either.

I had similar issue. Change the fuel pump, which is located inside the tank.
If you have ran your tank dry in the past this could have damaged your fuel pump.
The pump will heat up an sease. After cool down it would start again.
