I tow my Astrovan behind my motor coach.I tow it 4 wheels down and therefore must leave the keys in the on position.I have a master disconnect switch as well so that when towing my dash lights don't run my battery down. My question is why does it run so rough for so long after reconnecting the battery. And is there a hidden coupler where I can install a small battery so that the computer doesn't lose its memory (assuming that this is the problem). Thanks, gary

Hi there garyandjackie81 and TY for the donation this is what keps the site going.

Try below IACV relearning-Don't work take it to the dealer and have them reset it

Hidden coupler none-where I can install a small battery so that the computer doesn't lose its memory : The way I do it install a pigtail on the alternator battery terminal and a grounding point for this purposes only and use some jumper wires to reach the booster battery

Caution: when you disconnect the car positive cable isolate it with a non conductive material-I use the mechanic's rag to prevent from shorting to ground.

Relearning process:

1. Start the engine and run it as close to idle speed as possible until it reaches its normal operating temperature.
2. Run it for approximately 2 minutes at 1200 RPM.
3. Drive the vehicle as far as necessary, approximately 5 miles of varied driving conditions is usually sufficient to complete the relearning process.
