i HAVE A 2000 CHEVY ASTRO 4.3L AND THE SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT HAS BEEN ON FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS I ALREADY CHANGE THE OIL, CHECK ALL THE FLUIDS, AND I RECENTLY TOOK IT TO A SHOP AND THEY TOLD ME IT WAS A SENSOR I WAS WOUNDERING IF THEIR IS A WAY TO CLEAR THE ENGINE LIGHT WITHOUT USING A SCANER BEFORE I TAKE IT TO A SHOP FOR REPAIRS? PLEASE ADVICE THANK YOU...

Hi there, from what i have read on Mitchell 1 you do require a scanner to do a code clear, have the problem rectified and the tech will then clear the code, codes will re set as soon as the ignition is on or engine started if the problem is not rectified first.
