When I shut down my engine the fuel pump runs for 1-2 seconds then when it shuts down I hear a "squeak". It sounds like a suction or vacume type of a squeak. The engine runs perfectly in every way, it is just a noise. My mechanic tells me it is the fuel injection pressure regulator staring to go. He can repair for $1,000+. The part is $50, I looked it up. The fule pump was replaced 1.5 years ago, again for $1,000+. He says I should sell it asap. My wife loves it and it has always run great. What do you think?

Thank you,
