Awhile back my anti lock light came on and a few times it has gone off, But now it is staying on.
Since I bought it 30,000 miles ago, I never put new break pads on. They could be low. Thats were im going after I write this. Would that cause this to happen? If it needed new pads. It runs fine, But the breaks do vibrate alittle when I come to a stop.
Tks

The antilock brake system and the wear on your brake pads are totally unrelated.

Antilock brakes have "gear teeth" cut out of the rotors and rear drums and they have "wheel sensors" mounted to monitor the speed of each wheel. These wheel sensors are about a half inch round in diameter and 3 inches long. They all have a disconnect plug. Unplug all of them and spray the plug contacts with WD40 or put motor oil on them to dissolve corrosion and just unplugging them and plugging them back in will "scratch up" the contacts to make better connection.

Good Luck,

Ken
