1998 Chevy Astro AC lines rubbed hole

I had replacement AC lines (to rear AC unit) replaced last year by Shop A. When I went to have freon charged, shop B said the lines were routed incorrectly next to the transmission, and there now is a hole in the lines. Shop A says there is a hole but there is no other way to route the lines.

Is there a way to tell where the lines should have been routed? Should shop A have tied off the lines so they did not rub, in any case?

Thanks.

Hi there,

A/C pipes and hoses are made to fit in a specific position, and when that runs near any body work or engine /transmission there should be proper supports to stop any rubbing, I feel it is the responsibility of the original repairer.
