After the van sits for a day or two without running, I can crank the engine and it stutters and stammers but won't keep running. If I pump the gas pedal a bit it seems to help starting the engine. Otherwise this van runs terrific at all times. I live in wooded mountain area at about 2000 ft. elev. In my driveway is the only place I have trouble starting the engine; when I park overnight at lower altitudes I have no problems.

this is the symptom of a weak fuel pump. these engines need high fuel pressure and high fuel volume to start, they will run on lower pressure and volume but they wont start. you can try spraying starter fluid into intake for a second and if it starts and stays running it usually means the fuel pump is weak. hope this helps
