1996 Chevy Astro altermater

Took the altrenater off to replace it got it tested that was ok found out the altrenater feed, the cable that tells it to charge broke I would like to know if I can change it and what I need to dothe job.

Hi, if it broke loose from the connector, you may be able to take the connector apart, to splice in new wire. I looked several online parts books, you can order a new connector, then splice the wires.

If the wire broke and you don't know where, it is best to find it, it also controls your charge lite. Does your charge lite work?
