The check engine light is on. A scanner says something about manufacturer ignition or misfire. Why when the van starts it sounds like its off timing but as soon as its running it runs great. Starts every time. Has new plugs, wires, cap, rotor and the module inside distributor.

You need to be aware, that a fuel problem, can cause a misfire, along with spark--compression--vacuum leak, I can't name everything.

There is a bulletin about that spider fuel assembly, rough idle at start-up. The fuel poppets need cleaning. I can't tell if your problem is spark--fuel related or what. If your scanner will show live engine data, you might look at the fuel trims.
