Electrical problem
1995 Chevy Astro 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic

I no longer hear the intank fuel pump noise when trying to start the engine, and engine won't start.I just replaced the battery with a new one,now this problem. Is there a fuse or relay that could be bad,if so where are they located?I am a old retired mechanic, and need help with this one.

Hi, thanks for the donation. I'd use a gage and check fuel pressure. My info shows an oil pressure switch in the fuel pump circuit, besides the fuel pump relay. It's just a redundant power supply to the pump, talking about the o/p switch. There is also a fuel pump test connector, red wire with electrical, nothing plugged into it. If you use a jumper wire from battery voltage, with inline fuse, the pump should run. You don't need to use the key.
