My Astro has two broken door handles, driver's side and rear cargo door. I'm more concerned about the cargo door at this time. I have taken the panel off of the driver's side rear and can get the doors to release by pulling on the rod lifting or pulling down on the rod inside but the doors won't release to open all the way. This is a business rig (window treatments) so this is very frustrating in trying to get ladders and boxes in and out for work. The van also has power locks as well (don't know if this makes a difference). Someone please help!

the power locks shouldnt keep it from opening. You may not be able to push it all of the way to release due to lack of access. The handle, swings down into the door where you cant reallly get your fingers

That isnt what im saying. If it has 2 doors vs. a tailgate. Then the door with the handle on the outside has to be opened first, then the other door has another release handle which im sure you are aware of.If both doors are trying to open at once, then the latch for the non exterior handle door isnt locking it to the body. There is only one release rod for the exterior handle to operate the latch. If you have thee interior panel off, you should be able to see the latch assembly.Try removing the other panel to be sure that latch is holding to the body.
