Hi my Astro van has a brake problem, it snatches to the right when you brake then after a second it sorts its self out and u can brake normally. This is esp bad at high speeds ie on a motorway when you need to slow down. I have replaced the calpiers, pads, flexible brake pipes, shockers & springs had the rear brakes stripped & checked, replaced the idler arms had the suspension all checked over, we are stuck as to what it can be. help!

this is a sign that the left front brake hose is collapsed or kinked. make sure on the left front that the bolt holding in the hose to the caliper is on properly and there is not a extra washer on the bolt and make sure it is tight.

Hi thanks for the quick response. Ive replaced all the flexible hoses theres no extra washers on the left caliper & the system is bled free of air and has new fluid. Has been a few posts in the forums saying its the brake proportioner modulator valve on the abs system that cold be at fault, is there anyway of bypassing this for test purposes as its an expensive part to replace

i have yet to see this cause this type of problem but i would assume its the only logical solution. i do not know if you could bypass it, it is pretty time consuming to replace but not difficult.
