1991 Chevy Astro Dead battery

I'm hoping my problem is simply that the battery needs replacing. However, the platform on which the battery sits is rusted and I can't figure out how to remove the battery. I have disconnected the two cables. There appears to be a metal clip that runs along the lower front edge of the battery. Is that clip clamped in place by a screw underneath or do I just need to slide the battery backwards?

There is another clamp at rear of battery with a bolt through the middle clamping it down to the battery holder. Remove the bolt and plate and slide battery back and out of vehicle

Thanks for the info. A friend stopped by and showed me the rear clamp between the time I sent you the question and your reply. Both of you were right, of course.

A suggestion: for non-mechanics like myself, you might want to post simple diagrams illustrating where items like this battery clamp are located. I spent about an hour on line looking for an explanation and found nothing. Apparently, it doesn't occur to car-familiar folks that instructions like "remove to battery" can be a show stopper for many of us. I even came across a very abusive exchange concerning the location of the voltage regulator - a confrontation that could have been avoided by a clear sketch instead of accusations of idiocy and aggressiveness.
