Codes P1718 and P0817, check engine light will not turn on at all

The car turned off on me while driving, I opened the hood and the MAF sensor wire melted on turbo. Now I'm getting codes p1718 and p0817. I can't figure out what it is.

Hi,

Are you having any starting issues after the repairs? I ask because the P0817 is related to the park/neutral switch not working properly. Take a look at pic 1.

On the other hand, the P1718 is also related but in a different way. Check around the transmission to locate the park neutral switch. See if there is anything damaged there as well. See pic 2.

The car will not crank and check engine light or cruise control light doesn't come on when key is turned to on and before it would turn on and also my awd light is on.

The switch is on the right side of the transmission. See pic 1 below. It is referred to as an inhibitor switch. Its purpose is to prevent the vehicle from starting when in gear for safety reasons.

You indicated the CC and check engine light don't turn on when the key is turned to the run position. Are there any other electrical concerns you have noticed? The idea that the CEL doesn't turn on is a concern.

Let me know. Also, when you shift through the gears, make sure the gear indicator is accurate.
