Carpet/Vinyl dye fading on backseats?

So recently I've decided I wanted black seats on my '92 camry and sprayed them with carpet/vinyl dye. The back seats have had 3 coats of the stuff and already it's started fading back to grey (the original color). What can I do to fix this and keep the color from fading out?

Thanks

Hi:

Normally we only answer mechanical questions. However, the only thing I can say is maybe it is the product itself that isn't very good. Are there other brands to pick from?

Thanks for replying :-) Not that I'm aware of. There was just the one brand at the local NAPA store. Will check other stores this weekend to see if there is a better product out there.

Keep in mind, anything that is sprayed on is going to fade with time and usage.
