Hi, I am having a big issue with my car. I got home from work turned the car off next morning when going to work the car turned over but did not start. It was having an issue with the check engine light for a camshaft position sensor, but the car would always start. I tried scanning the car but now the scanner will not connect to the car. It seems like there is no spark. I am not sure if the ECM needs re-flashing, but I am not sure how to check if it is the ECM. Please help! Thanks.

When the scanner cannot communicate with the ECM, it could be a faulty ECM or power supply to the ECM and DLC is disrupted/missing.

Did you check the fuses? Are you able to power up the scan tool with the DLC?
Disconnect the battery and unplug the ECM and wait a few minutes before reconnecting and retest.
