One of the vacuum lines on the motor needed replaced due to ware. So the line was replaced and the car seemed to be better. So I disconnected the negative battery cable to clear the check engine light and upon reconnecting the battery cable the car turned over but now will not run? At first it started and would run for a few seconds and then shut off. I have since replaced the fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator and car still will not fire up. It is getting gas and I am checking spark now. Please help!

Check your fuses. You may have blown a fuse for the PCM or something along those lines. You could also try disconnecting the battery again for a few minutes, and then reconnect it and see what happens. Also, you said you had fuel, but have you checked to see if the plugs are wet? It is possible that the engine got flooded with the starting and shutting off.
