So I just got this car listed above recently and it was driving fine but I noticed a gas smell on the cab. So I took it to a shop and they dropped the gas tank and retightened the seals on the fuel pump because that is where the fuel smell was coming from. This fixed the fuel smell in the car and everything was fine until weeks later the check engine light comes on and the car starts having trouble starting. I get the code run and it says I need a new purge valve. I ordered the purge valve but at this point the car is getting harder to start and stalling when starting etc. Still runs fine once it's started. Finally I installed the new valve and it started starting after two attempts instead of 5 or 6 and the engine RPM's starting surging but no stalling. The next day I go to start the car and it won't start at all. Fuel pressure gauge loses pressure quickly. Sometimes it acts like it wants to start and stalls when I have the gas pedal to the floor but it never actually starts.

It sounds like the fuel pump is bad or not installed correctly. This video shows the job being done on a similar car:

Please run down these guides and report back.
