I just had my water pump relaced but my car is still over heating. I was told to make sure that it was bleed and if that doesn't work it is more than likely a blown head gasket. My mechanic told me that my car does not have to be bleed after replacing water pump, is that true? I have a Northstar engine. If it does need to be bleed, how do you do that?

Have you gotten any answers to your over heating problem?? Mine over heats as well.......... I haven't gotten mine fixed yet but was told that it is possible a PLASTIC INTAKE by the manifold. Please advise if you have had your car fixed and if this was the problem.
