1991 Cadillac Seville V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic

My car has been starting ok until a few days ago. The ingition switch has been sticking and I had to move the steering wheel up and down to turn the key on or off. Now when I turn the key on the car will not crank. The battery is fully charged and we put on a new starter. I also checked all the fuses. What can be wrong now?

You have something going on in the column. Possibly a broken or out of place rack gear causing the cylinder not to turn correctly. The not cranking might be due to wires for theft system that may have been damaged inside the column, or just broke. If the column feels loose in the tilt mechanism, the pivot pins may have backed out some, causing the problems.
