Dear sirs-
I replaced the plastic housing on the power trunk latch on my 1982 Fleetwood. The trunk is now working OK, but after the car is turned off, the dash light shows the trunk open. WhenI start the car, the light goes off.
1. How can I get the light to stay off?

2. Is there a conversion or a way to remove the #*&%!Ing motorized trunk lid, and make it like most other cars?
Thanks

The trunk open light.
That may be just a switch problem that needs to be adjusted.

About the trunk being "normal"
that we can do.
With the trunk closed.
Open hood and disconnect the battery.
Now use your key to open the trunk.
Unplug the wire to the motor on the hatch hook.

Make sure you can shut your trunk like normal cars a few times.

Then you can hook your battery back up and live a happy care free life.

Good luck
