2003 Cadillac Escalade V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 90,000 miles

My heater has been working sporadically. When it isnt working the temperature gauge starts to go up. If the heater kicks in and starts working the temperature gauge goes down.

no heat is a classic exmple of being low on coolant. You may have intake gaskets leaking. Take it to a pro and have them pressure check the system. You hae to be leaking coolant out in order for it to go down. then you get no heat......
