2002 Cadillac Escalade Pops when turning

2002 Cadillac Escalade V8 All Wheel Drive Automatic 120000 miles
What would cause a loud popping noise when I turn left or right. I just replaced my transfer case and my rear drive shaft b/c of a previous vibration, but now I have a popping noise when I turn. It doesn't do it when I drive it with the front drive shaft out.

With the front drive shaft out, your front differential is not being driven. Is it possibible that the noise is coming from the front diff. Pull the drain plug and check fluid, and presence of metal on the magnet.
