I have a 1993 Caddy Eldorado in my shop, and I got it to run, finally, but it jumps right to 2500-3000rpm as soon as it starts.

It has a new alternator and PCM. It idles the same after the PCM install.

I saw on one forum where someone listed a series of steps to relearn the idle. The same prom was transferred to the new PCM.

Codes are just 059 series for the new battery, PCM install.

I have a normal plate angle when vehicle is not running, but the PCM reads a 28 degree angle when running with the plates still closed.

HELP!!!

sorry merlin that doesnt work, the tps should be set at .5 degrees, 28 is to much, throttle plates if black need cleaned, the iac needs to be backed off( not touching the accellorator lever)( to do this raise idle to +1500rpm and use your finger to depress it then unplug it,) and then unpluged it to get tps reading, loosen screws to adjust it. then plug IAC back in start car and do your Idle relearn, may have to do it a couple times
