Engine Performance problem
1992 Cadillac El Dorado V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Will not restart after shutdown. Starts fine after cools off.

Hi:
I recommend you take the car to a nationally recognized parts store and have the computer scanned for trouble codes. They will do it for free and we'll have an idea where to start.

Let me know what they find.

Thanks for your feedback. After further testing, I discovered it was the starting motor itself that was causing this problem. The starter was only a couple weeks old, so I didn't pursue it. Turned out to be a cranking problem. Car is my granddaughters and second hand info was not reliable. Thanks again, ED
