2002 Cadillac DTS thermostat

Where is the thermostat located on the engine? I have the new one and need to know where it is to change it.

On the front bank of cylinders, at the trans end of the engine. Look down to where the lower radiator hose connects to the water pump cover, the black bolted on fitting is the thermostat housing.
