2000 Cadillac Deville check engine light

I have a 2000 deville, check engine light wont go off, Took the car to two mechanics. Both said it has random misfires. Valve gaskets was replaced with a tuneup. Engine light flickers on and off now.

Random misfires occurring on various cylinders could be caused by poor/contaminated fuel. If it is specific to a cylinder, it could be a coil pack, spark plug, or injector. Is the engine light flickering, or flashing. A flashing light indicates a catalyst damaging misfire.
