1990 Cadillac Deville torque converter clutch solonoid repl

My 90 deville has an E39 trouble code. And it turns out to be the torque conv. Solonoid. I see the part is only about 40.00. But, what is involved in replacing it?
can I get to it by removing the pan?

Take it to a trans shop, there are other probs
