Lately there are times where my car will not start after it has been used. When you try to crank the engine you hear a rapid clicking problem but no turnover. The first time this happened you heard nothing, no clicking. After a while it will start again with no problem for maybe a week or so.

The Battery is a 6 year Delco battery. If it is the original it is past its life. However the voltage reading in the battery reads 13.9-14.1 Do you have any suggestions for me?

Thank you.

could have loose or dirty battery cable ends. check all ends including ends at starter and alternator. if all is good than you could have starter tested on or off of vehicle.
