First, thank you guys for informing me of the bulletin related to my car! I'm following up with Cadillac today.

Next, I was looking to find bushings for my car by looking online. When I was at Midas, the guy had my car up in the air and pointed to the new bushings I needed. They were in the front and there were two on each side. He also said that I could replace the entire control arm set to get the new ball joints included. It's all a foreign language to me.

During my search online I have come across bushings, but some sites refer to lower and upper bushings and some refer to inner and outer bushings. How can a lay person like myself know which is which? Or at least what should I be looking for when searching?

Thanks in advance!

I could only describe them as front and rear. An upper bushing would be what I would consider upper strut mount, and lowers would be control arm bushings. There would be a quantity of two per side on the control arm bushings, and I am not sure if they are the same front and rear(of the arm). There would only be a quantity of two on the upper strut mounts, and they most likely would be the same right and left.
