This car is running sluggish when it first takes off. Sometimes it cuts off at stop signs while idling. After it is running and up in speed it runs fine. Someone said something about a burnt valve. Does this sound right?

try cleaning the throttle plate on both sides with choke cleaner and iac hole first. then scan for codes and check fuelpressure. If a valve were burnt you would have a misfire all the time
