I am a owner of a 92' buick skylark and there is a fattleing that seems to be coming from the drive belt area. I bought the car for $1600 and a couple weeks after owning the car it started to rattle as if something was loose or something. Now my father had the same kind of car a few years before I got this one and it did the same thing. His car did not start doing this until it had over 200,000 miles on it. What are some possible things that could be causeing this problem on my car and what can I do to fix it and can you give me a rough guess of what it may cost to fix.
thank you very much!

Hello, I believe that you will need a new belt tentioner. It can be a pricy 65 buks+ depends where u go. What I do is I love going to self serve junkyards and just buy what I need from there when I see that the parts r to expensive at a store lol. Im not cheap im just not rich lol. But I do find many perfect working parts there. You can look for other gm cars there and the parts will fit like skylarks 89 to 95 can fit or clebrity v6 etc many cars use the same parts in gm. Can get a littlr tuff to install it well to remove that one bolt that it uses lol. Plus better to buy the tool needed to move the tentioner to remove belt because if you use something else to remove belt you can damage the tentioner again. Good luck
