basically I have to replace the distributor and rotor and the tension pulley. I see the distributor is tucked behind the harmonic balancer and looks like the water pump, do I have to remove the water pump or how would I go about this? If you could help it would be great!

Hello Ryan,

Yes, you do have to remove the Water Pump and also the Harmonic balancer as the distributor is tucked in behind it and will not come out with the Harmonic balancer in place. It is a good idea to put new wires on if you have not because it is next to impossible to do even with the water pump etc. Removed, so save yourself alot of grief and do it all at once. You will need to rent a puller for the harmonic balancer from someone like autozone on their loan a tool program. You pay them to use it and get your money back when you return the tool. It is a great program.

Good Luck,
Ron
