My 97 Buick Riviera will die while driving and automatically restart on it's own, although it doesn't always do this. Sometimes it will die at a stop sign and restart after a wait. The wait is now getting longer, this problem has been going on for about 3 weeks. During the waits when the car won't start it does however turn over. All the lights and that are working the check Engine Light comes on as it dies and when I try to restart. I've been reading alot about the fuel pump relay preoblems that seem to be associated with this make and model, but I am still not sure if that is it. If I can get any ideas sent my way that would be great, Thanks!!

The computer energizes the fuel pump relay The fuel pump relay has a switch and coil side. The coil side should read in resistances between 40-80 ohms and the switch is zero ohms. And also check the fuel pump/oil pressure sending unit. see below You should check the fuel pressure with a gauge to confirm the actual fuel pressure at KOEO/KOER.
