I have a 96 Riviera that supercharged. The lower pully broke as it was made of plastic. Do I have to take the motor mount off to take this pully off? There is only an 1/8 of an inch between the pully and the mount.

Do you know anything about this?

Thanks

I have a 1996 Buick Riviera Supercharged 3.8L I had the pulley changed out, The original one that is on the supercharged is a piece of pot metal junk. I got one made out of steel from a speed shop out of Michigan. I had the mechanic change it out & he didn't say anything about the motor mount. However, it does take a custom puller to remove the pulley which they rented me one with the pulley through the mail, with a deposit. The new pulley was around $110.

Yes, you will need to remove the engine mount to replace the pulley.
