Steering column

The steering on my car is fine but the steering column is loose as if it is broken what is the problem?

I just replaced the steering column in my 95. The problem with mine was the aluminum box which houses the ball that the wheel tilts on was cracked at first. This made the steering wheel a little loose. Eventually the box broke completely and the wheel would move up, down, and side to side. That definitely is NOT SAFE! So I would suggest to check that first to be sure.

The bolts come lose that hold the main column tilt feature here are diagrams of what you need to do to fix it. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
