Tried to start on a Monday morning after being parked in garage since Friday evening. The weather had been cool and rainy for a week.

The iinterior lights did not come on when the door was opened. Later realized that the 'door open' indicator in the dash was on.

When the key was turned to start, all dash lights came on, but the starter did not turn. Measuring at the battery showed no voltage droop when this was done.

Key fob small button will unlock doors and trunk and will activate panic alarm. Large button LED flashes, but will not lock doors or activate panic alarm.

Turning the key in the door to the lock position will lock the doors and the security beep is heard, followed by the 'door open' beep.

Monday evening, the car started fine, but the other issues persisted. The car started and ran fine for the rest of the week, but then would not start on Sunday morning.

I need help soon - I'm driving the wife's Buick. :(

Last night, I disconnected the battery to reset, reconnected, and it started. This morning, stuck again.

I should have updated this and closed it out.

Eventually, the problem progressed to the point where the Jag wouldn't start at all, so I had it towed to my mechanic. They had recently lost their electrical guru, so they ended up messing with it for a whole week.

After trying various things, they had checked the battery and found that it had a dead cell. Once the battery was replaced and given a good charge, everything was fine and hasn't given me trouble since.

I guess that when the voltage got marginal, a lot of sensors freaked out. The nice part was that they only charged me for the pro-rated battery and 1 hour of diagnostics. Pretty decent of them.
