The car seems to be running hotter than normal, it has plenty of the correct Coolant. It is cool out and the car gets up in between half and 3/4 mark for hot. It has never gotten there. It just started yesterday. I am wondering if it is the thermostat or the Water Pump. How easy is it to replace those on this vehicle. I havent worked on a motor in years. Older model chevy 350's. Both fans seem to be working it gets to a certain point then it starts to cool down but you smell the coolant.

HI:
It sounds like it could be the thermostat. That would be the easiest and cheapest place to start. If you worked on cars before, you shouldn't have any trouble replacing it. The waterpump is another issue. You are very limited on space to work on it. If it's not leaking or making noise, it's most likely ok.
