I need to replace my head gaskets but as everyone knows there is no room to do this. So I need to know the best way to gain access to the right side of the engine. Drop the engine down via a floor jack or tilt it forward via the engine mounts? Also looking for specific instructions on how to do it for this vehicle.

You can do these wright in the vehicle, there not that bad, just time consuming. You do not have to drop the engine down, do it all from the top. Just remove the upper and lower intake, both valve covers, remove the rocker arms and push rods, dont mix up the push rods they are different lengths, intake is shorter. Remove the the belt and alt, disconnect the exhaust at the flange at the exhaust manifold.(I would do both head gaskets at the this time)then remove the rear head, for the front one remove the a/c compressor and upper bracket, remove the rear exhaust crossover pipe and remove the head. Post back with any other questions.

Thanks for your reply. It didn't look like there is enough room to get this done but I am glad to hear that there is. The only problem I am having is getting the EGR out. I will let you know how it goes or if I run into any other problems.

Thanks again!
