Charging System

I have a 1997 Buick Regal with an automatic transmission and no past major issues. A few days ago, I attempted to jump start my girlfriend's father's Chevelle. The next day, the charging system light came on. A day later, my anti-lock brake light and the brake light have remained on, and it feels like my power steering is going out. What kind of damage have I done, if any, to my charging system and what do I need to do in order to fix it? Did I run the battery down, or did I do any major lasting damage to my vehicle?

Have your charging system check-The dead Chevelle could have caused it when it fired up causing a power surge to feedback to your charge system.

My guess is the battery cables weren't hooked-up correctly-Did you do this? Your car negative cable -did you hook this cable on the dead battery's engine ground?
