i drove my car home last night it was fine woke up this mornig the time wasn't right on the clock but it tried to start but didn't now it sits there and give's me a clicking sound witch makes me belive the battery might still be good but i don't know if it's the battery or starter and i don't know where the starter is on the car so i can try the old rubber mallet trick on it to see if that helps or not any thoughts on what might or could be wrong with this car??

Hi John,

How old is the battery? Have you tried jump starting it? If not give it a try. If it starts and runs fine take it by your local parts store and have them check the battery and charging system.

found out today it's not the battery i actually crawled up under the car located the starter and hit it gently with a rubber mallet and the car fired right up i have no clue how long this little quick fix is gona work but i don't really have the 230 for the starter at the moment so for now it's a simple fix .[/quote:14e954ff0a]

It won't work for very long cause I believe the starter is a gear reduction. And that means it has a solid magnet glued to the housing and beating ot it will break up that magnet and cause it to lockup.
